Ro (they/them)
Mucki Endurance, FlexZone, Pad Work + Strengthening, Back & Core Class, Gym Tonic, Covering all levels in Muay Thai Technique as Substitue
I’ve always loved doing sports – and it makes me happy!
Since 2012 I’ve been teaching – in Muay Thai, as well as in strength and conditioning. In 2016, Imke and I founded Sidekick together. I no longer actively train Muay Thai myself. Since 2016, I’ve mainly been training in strengthening workouts and Pilates.
Licenses/Certificates: Trauma-Informed Weight Lifting (Center for Trauma and Embodiment, USA), Muscle Power Trainer. Muay Thai Coach Course (Kru Manop Yuangyal, Thailand). B-License “Preventive Spinal Gymnastics,” C-License “Fitness and Health.”
Charlotte (she/her)
Muay Thai Technique Beginners, Substitute for Muay Thai
I started Thai boxing in 2014. Since Sidekick was founded, I have been regularly teaching there: first conditioning training and later technique for beginners. It gives me great joy to accompany people on their journey of discovering Muay Thai for themselves, exploring and experiencing their own power and strength. These shared experiences give me energy for other areas of life.
Svenja (she/no pronouns)
Yoga
I started practicing yoga in 2003, and since then it has accompanied me almost daily. This practice of conscious breathing exercises and physical postures, which both strengthen and stretch at the same time, helped me with back pain, to build a positive relationship with my own body, and to find better ways of dealing with stress – a very empowering experience. Since 2010, I have been sharing these experiences as a teacher.
From 2012 to 2018, I trained Kung Fu and Wendo as feminist self-defense in self-organized FLINTA* groups. In yoga, I explore how I can be both stable and flexible through inner bodily activities. Solidarity and a compassionate approach to oneself and to others are very important to me.
Certificates as a yoga teacher: Element Yoga (500h / E-RYT), Ashtanga Yoga (300h), Yin Yoga (100h), Personal Yoga (100h)
Lina (she/her)
Muay Thai Technique Beginners and Substitute Classes
Sidekick opened in 2016 – a feminist martial arts club, and in Leipzig no less! I was (and still am) absolutely passionate about it, and since then I’ve been training Muay Thai regularly. Before that, I had trained a little elsewhere, but it was really this club that got me hooked. Since 2019, I’ve also been teaching classes, and it continues to bring me joy to see how much fun and strength this sport gives to others as well.
Ada (Ada)
Muay Thai All Levels
Since 2018, I have been teaching Muay Thai technique classes, and since 2022 at Sidekick.
Through a supportive training environment, I was able to learn a lot about my own limits and about spatial awareness, and I want to make this approach accessible to others as well. At the same time, I keep reflecting on how everyone can reach their individual limits without falling into competition with each other. Alongside ideas around performance, another topic that interests me is body norms in (combat) sports.
I’m always up for sparring myself and hope to inspire even more people to get excited about fighting. After all, there can never be enough great FLINTA* fights!
Sally (she/her)
MINTA Trainings, BIPoC Training
Sam (she/her)
Muay Thai Technique (All Levels, Beginners, Advanced), Substitue for Strengthening Classes
Muay Thai has been an intense part of my life since 2020 and keeps giving me new experiences – whether in the ring, in everyday life, as a trainer, or as an organizer.
Here at Sidekick I get to see even more facets of this sport. I really value the exchange with different trainees and am always excited to keep learning so many new things.
In training, it’s important to me that we support each other in our processes and experience the sport as something empowering.
Rea (she/her)
Resilience and Resistance, Substitute Yoga
I am a PoC, cis, able-bodied, queer, and I speak German and English. I am committed to creating movement spaces where -isms are questioned and barriers are dismantled. When I teach, it’s important to me that everyone can shape the practice in the way they need at that moment. I like to work with different options, from which people can choose what feels right for them and how intense they want it to be.
In my view, bodywork should be empowering and provide a space where self-determination and connection to one’s own needs can be practiced.
Tina (she/her)
Gym Tonic
I have been active in CrossFit since 2019 and have been coaching since 2021. It is important to me that training is not intimidating but empowering—both physically and mentally. I support people in overcoming apprehension about strength training, making goals tangible, and naturally integrating health into everyday life.
Licenses: CrossFit Level 1, CrossFit Gymnastics Level 1, BVDG Barbell License, Fitness Trainer B-License, Trainer in Sports Rehabilitation, Relaxation Trainer, Health Coach
Fatosh (she/her)
MINTA* Trainings
I have been actively training at Sidekick for almost three years and discovered my passion for Muay Thai there. I am thrilled by how the training promotes self-efficacy, inner strength, and overcoming one's own limits, while at the same time teaching respect and self-confidence.
As a social worker, I have been working with children and young people for many years with great joy.
It is particularly fulfilling for me that I can now combine my work with my love of Muay Thai, creating a space where children and young people can learn and try things out without pressure to perform, on an equal footing and with joy.
I myself am a PoC person who is not considered slim.
Maë (they/them)

Lilith (she/her)
Conditioning & MINTA Trainings*
Thai boxing strengthens not just the body, but especially from the inside – an experience I want to share with children, adolescents, and adults. In my trainings, there is space to experiment, discover personal strengths, and recognize one’s own limits and stand up for them. My trainings are meant to challenge without overwhelming and, above all, to be fun!
Qualifications: Social Worker, Youth Worker (Girls* focus), M.A. in Applied Sexual Science, C-License in Strength and Fitness.
Nele (they/them)
Substitute Yoga
I first came into contact with yoga in 2011, and since 2015 I have been teaching Hatha Yoga classes. What I appreciate about yoga is that it is a form of movement without performance pressure. Through a mindfulness-focused practice, people can have positive experiences with their own bodies.
This way of engaging with the body also led me to complete a physiotherapy training, and today I work in a physiotherapy practice collective.
Fritte (they/them)
RückenFit and Self-Assertion Courses
As a trainer, I want to motivate you to move in ways that feel good, even if you’re not feeling particularly sporty. I offer self-assertion courses to encourage courage and standing up for yourself. There are so many ways to defend your own boundaries and feel strong – let’s discover them together!
I am non-binary, white, and have a chronic illness. I love being active and want to share this joy with you in my trainings.
Licenses/Certificates: Certified Wendo Trainer (since 2022), B.A. in Social Work, further training in trauma pedagogy and violence prevention (EQUAT University of Ulm)
Jay (they/them)
MINTA* Trainings, EmpowerMINTA*, Flexzone, Adult Strength Classes
I teach Thai boxing and feminist self-defense for MINTA*, as well as strength training for adults.
I hold a B.A. in Social Pedagogy, C, B, and A-level Fitness Trainer licenses (KISA Academy), and am a Boxing Therapist for therapeutic boxing (Artemis Academy).
I am white, non-binary, and always on the move! The body techniques in our courses are so diverse, and I want to share my great joy in them without performance pressure. It is important to me that we meet as a group, learn together, have fun, and leave the training feeling empowered.
Widi (-/she)
Self-Assertion Workshops for MINTA
For many years, I have worked with young people, and I especially enjoy discovering with them how much strength, courage, and clarity we all have. As a certified trainer in feminist self-assertion and self-defense, I teach courses for children and adolescents at Sidekick together with Sally.
In our courses, the focus is on trusting oneself, saying “no,” and feeling one’s own strength. We practice finding our voice, taking our feelings seriously, and standing up with courage, confidence, and determination against hurtful comments, boundary violations, or physical assaults.
It is particularly important to me that all children and adolescents experience: I am okay, I am important. I am allowed to take care of myself – and I am allowed to defend myself.
I am a white person.
Emilia (-/she)
Resilience & Resistance, Substitute Yoga
Emilia teaches yoga inspired by a variety of somatic approaches. The focus is on mindful awareness of the breath and playful exploration of movement. Emilia places special emphasis on a power-critical yoga practice that promotes empowerment, care, and community. The classes support awareness of personal boundaries and abilities and are open to everyone, regardless of prior experience.
Filly (she/her)
MINTA* Substitute
I enjoy sports. What I enjoy most is the feeling afterwards 🙂
Maro ( (they/them)
Flex Zone, Mucki Endurance
I have been training at Sidekick since 2019 and enthusiastically participate in all types of training. Since 2025, I have also been leading strength training myself. It is especially important to me that the trainings take place in an atmosphere where participants can have fun and feel as comfortable as possible – exactly as they are in the moment. I am always open to incorporating any requests.
I am non-binary; please use my name instead of pronouns.
I am a white person, not fat, and not physically disabled. I speak both German and English.

In my trainings, I value having fun, working up a sweat, and getting to know one’s own limits. I am not a fan of performance pressure.
Labels I use for myself include, among others: white, non-binary, small fat. I communicate in spoken German and English.
